ABOUT US

The Emerson Twins, Taylor and Hayley Emerson, are identical twin co-founders of a storytelling platform using music, theater, and strategic media to create public impact. Their work spans four continents, with performances in Los Angeles, New York, D.C., Berlin, Beijing, Johannesburg, and beyond.

They’ve built a global brand with 1.8 million+ views and 30,000+ followers, beginning their journey as “twinterviewers” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2005. Two decades later, they’ve written, produced, and staged original musicals and songs that move between culture and change, from “Love is So Much More” for the LOVE-HATE Art Tour in the United States to “We’re Not So Far Away” for prospective college students and families in China to their original musical TWIN CITIES about identical twins in Germany. They were even honored to perform originals and covers for Secretary Hillary Clinton, Mandy Patinkin, and Jamie Bernstein.

Most recently, the sisters produced, directed, and starred in an original musical workshop showcase, GOODBYE FOR NOW, at Studio Theatre in Washington, D.C. The show featured a full cast and band, sold approximately 90 tickets in a 75-seat venue, and raised more than $1,000 for the Immigrant Defenders Law Center to support immigrants and their families in Southern California.  Later this year, Taylor and Hayley plan to launch Twin Talk, a podcast about storytelling, social impact, and their life as twins!

Together, they served in the Biden-Harris Administration at the U.S. Departments of State, Energy, and Education. They have also trained at some of the world’s most prestigious institutions in media and the arts, including Interlochen Center for the Arts, GRAMMY Camp, Idyllwild Arts, and the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus, and began their entertainment careers across top film studios, production companies, and talent agencies such as Creative Artists Agency, Lionsgate Studios, and Anonymous Content.

With backgrounds in the performing arts and public service, The Emerson Twins are building careers to reach across political and cultural divides with the mission of catalyzing positive change in communities across the United States and around the world.

Taylor Emerson

Taylor Emerson is a Tony-nominated producer, musician, and cultural strategist whose work sits at the intersection of art and activism.

She most recently co-produced JOHN PROCTOR IS THE VILLAIN, which earned seven Tony Award nominations, including Best Play (Kimberly Belflower), Best Actress (Sadie Sink), and Best Direction (Tony winner Danya Taymor). A New York Times Critic’s Pick and hailed by Variety as “the best play of the season,” the show garnered widespread acclaim and major awards, including Outstanding Play from the Outer Critics Circle, Drama Desk, Elliot Norton, and Dorian Awards. It also received honors for Best Director, Ensemble, and Featured Performance across multiple ceremonies. An op-ed described the show as one that “transports the viewer back to a time when #MeToo still felt alive with possibility.” PROCTOR is now being developed into a feature film at Universal, produced by Marc Platt and Tina Fey.

In January 2025, Taylor concluded her dream role as a Biden-Harris political appointee at the U.S. Department of State, where she helped spearhead groundbreaking film, music, and sports diplomacy initiatives: launching the American Music Mentorship Program with the Recording Academy, expanding the U.S. Global Music Ambassadors Program with YouTube, curating Oscar-nominated international film screenings with embassies and studios, and designing cultural activations tied to Paris 2024, the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and LA28.

Previously, she worked at the U.S. Department of Education in the Office of the Secretary, advancing HBCU initiatives, strategic partnerships, and national programming like the Title IX 50th Anniversary and the Back-to-School Bus Tour. Her public service began on the 2020 Biden-Harris campaign in Maricopa County, Arizona, and continued through the Presidential Inaugural Committee, where she coordinated talent logistics for Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, and Amanda Gorman.

This fall, Taylor is moving to London to grow her producing work across Broadway and the West End while pursuing an MSc in Media & Communications at the London School of Economics and Political Science, with a focus on redefining how theatre, film, and music connect truth to power. She’s a proud Angeleno (Go Dodgers!) and holds a B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis.

Hayley Emerson

Hayley Emerson is a musician, creative producer, and climate strategist whose work sits at the intersection of art and activism.

She currently leads the TradesForce campaign, a nationwide initiative dedicated to recruiting 1 million workers into high-paying skilled trades in the clean economy. With a team of impact advisors, she drives the high-level strategy, supports the music industry in launching mass registration concerts featuring artists like Lil Tecca and Big Freedia, and co-spearheads digital communications, specifically creating a national ad with local heroes and trades work content with influencers. She also runs the national steering committee made up of industry leaders from across sectors from philanthropy to culture. By 2026, TradesForce aims to mobilize 100,000 new clean energy workers.

During three political appointments under the Biden-Harris Administration, she advised top DOE leadership, including Jigar Shah, Andrew Light, and the Secretary’s Deputy Chiefs of Staff, Bridget Bartol and Jasmine Dimitrou, helping manage over $500 billion in clean energy investments and scaling the Loan Programs Office from 200 to 400+ staff. She played a key role in energy resilience work for Puerto Rico, the $1B Energy Resilience Fund, and U.S. engagement at COP29, G7, and the Clean Energy Ministerial.

A creative strategist, Hayley co-launched DOE’s first Storytelling Working Group, organized a Hollywood Climate Summit 2024 panel with Secretary Granholm and Patty Jenkins, and helped pitch clean energy docuseries concepts to Netflix and Disney. She consulted on a DOE–Robert Downey Jr. collaboration, explored decarbonizing film sets with major studios, and composed viral agency songs like “Energy” and “Unconditionally Committed to LPO” using music and humor to rebrand federal communications. She even founded DO-GLEE, DOE’s first agency-wide choir.

Beyond government, she co-led RESISDANCE: Reclaiming Our City, a protest-silent disco hybrid supporting Democracy Forward, and continues to blend creativity with civic action. Her public service began with Biden-Harris 2020 and the Presidential Inaugural Committee, working artist logistics for Lady Gaga, Amanda Gorman, Katy Perry, and others.

While at Washington University in St. Louis, Hayley founded Center Stage Productions with her twin sister, Taylor, directing and composing an original musical together. Today, Hayley is building a future at the intersection of climate, culture, and activism from the non-profit world to digital media and new creative frontiers.

Taylor and Hayley live, work, and write music in Washington, D.C.
